14 years ago, after the birth of her daughter, Karen VanRhyn was a stay at home mom. She decided to work part time in the evenings for a home party plan. The company offered its consultants the opportunity to earn incentive trips based on their annual sales. The first year with the company, Karen’s sales exceeded enough to earn her one free berth on the company’s incentive trip - a Carnival Cruise. After the cruise, Karen decided that she loved it so much that she would make this her career – selling travel.
Since then, she has worked for 2 local travel agencies, one agency in Kentucky and one in Kansas, all as an outside sales agent. After years of being with agencies and realizing that all her hard work is done independently as an outside agent, she put forth all her knowledge, expertise and resources and started her own travel agency, Lets Go Travel. In its 4th year, the company is solely owned and operated by Karen VanRhyn, who now has 14 years of travel agent experience along with years of educational courses in the industry and more than 20 cruises under her belt. Her husband, Nicolas, also assists her with sales, public relations and is the European specialist. With family roots in Spain, France, Holland and Italy, Nicolas has spent many months during the summer since he was a child traveling to Europe.
